Last october i found out i had hpv. My doctor had me getting pep smears every 3 months. Finally, today my results came back abnormal. Does this necessarily mean i have cervical cancer?
Just an addendum to the last thing I wrote in April. Since that time, I have spoken to my doctor regarding The Minera IUD, and he said that the patient only checks once or every two months to see if the "strings" are still in place.. The doctor is the only one, who can tell if the Minera is safely in place. It is usually first checked after the first month, then yearly after that - unless there's a specific problem. However, it still hasn't changed my mind in getting the Minera! I'd rather not have an alien object in my body!!
I had a hysterectomy on June25 and have been in almost constant pain ever since. I awoke with a drain tube in my stomach that has not quit drainibg yet. I would really like to know just how long the drainage will last.
My husband and I were seriously thinking about having an IUD inserted inside my cervix, prefably the newer one on the market, the Minera (sp?). However, the video I just watched informed me that women who have the IUD inside of them, need to regularly check to make sure it is still in place... Really? That's as bad as having the Diaphram! I'd rather use the calendar method anyday.... I know my body by now.
